Move In Day Fall 2009

Move in days:

We have scheduled the check-in days as follows:

New Freshman and Transfer Students:
Sunday, August 30th: 9AM - 4PM

Returning Residents choose an arrival slot(check your campus email for more details on Thursday, August 6th):
Sunday, August 30th: 9AM - 4PM(limited numbers)
Monday, August 31st: 10AM - 7PM
Tuesday, September 1st: 10AM - 7PM

As you can imagine, opening days on campus can get somewhat congested.  Please realize that everyone doesn’t need to get here at the opening time.  Please think about arriving at 10am, 11am, or noon to avoid a few long lines at the start of move in day.  Residents arriving later in the day will not miss any programs or activities.  A later arrival might make the process less stressful for you.

On the campus map, it is important to take note of the arrows indicating special traffic directions for the opening days only.  Utilize the map to determine the best course to your unloading area.  The map also identifies all the locations around the halls that are designated as unloading zones only.  This means you can drop off your belongings on the curb, but then you’ll need to move your car to one of the parking lots.

You cannot leave your unattended car parked in the unloading zones.  This allows more students the opportunity to unload their cars at a location close to their hall.  We are also working with student organizations on campus to assist you with the unloading of vehicles.

If you are participating in an activity which has required an early arrival, you can verify your early arrival date at our website address.  Remember, early arrivals (except band, Warhawk fall sports athletes, and a select few others) will check in through the 1st Floor Desk in Goodhue Hall.
